We will be posting additional events over the coming weeks as plans and pricing are solidified. Some of the events, such as the Nobility Ball, are organized by Les Fêtes de la Nouvelle–France SAQ and we are awaiting details and pricing from them. Audrey Landry has meet with the organizers and they are excited to have our group participate and look forward to contracting with us once their plans are finalized. Les Fêtes de la Nouvelle–France SAQ anticipates to have that information available to us at the end of March. We promise to keep you posted!
If you missed the previous post that features our updated itinerary, including projected pricing, you will find that information here.
We recommend that all participants attend La Grande Soirée Bienvenue (The Big Welcome Party) which will take advantage of the beauty of le Chateau Frontenac and its commanding view of the St. Laurent River and will showcase entertainment by Àdhamh Ó Broin, Gillebrìde Macmillan and Elias Alexander.
Everyone knows that Àdhamh is the Gaelic Consultant for Outlander, and that Gillebrìde plays Gwyllin, the bard of Castle Leoch, but we’ve had a few of you asked about Elias Alexander. Elias is an actor/musician from Ashland, OR who is a talented singer, bagpiper, guitarist and fidler. Here is a little video clip of him singing in Gaelic. He’s not Scottish, but he does a very convincing accent. He has spent much time in Scotland and has always been interested in the history, music and culture of Scotland.
